The resort
Jasna is the largest ski resort in Slovakia and has quickly developed a reputation as central Europes premier ski resort, attracting guests from every corner of the world.
Jasna’s location is in the beautiful mountain surroundings of the Northern and Southern slopes of Mount Chophok 2042m in the low Tatras National Park. In 2007 the two sides were interconnected by two new ski lifts, one from the southern and one from the northern side. It will have a new funitel system opening winter 2012/2013 to take you from the north to the south side more easily. It has a great selection of pistes suited for every level, some fantastic backcountry free-ride zones, an O2 snowboard park and has had huge investments in new chair lifts, electronic ticketing systems and in-resort facilities. Jasna a truly modern resort
There has been huge investment in Jasna over the last five years making it a truly modern and exciting resort. In 2003 A Mercedes Benz six man chairlift was added, in 2008 another four man chairlift was added, in 2009 an eight man Gondola was added to offer a quick passage up the mountain for beginners, in 2010 another 6 man chairlift was added to interconnect two parts of the mountain and this year they have added more snow cannons to sun exposed pistes and added a new blue run above the 6 man chairlift. They have also started work on the high speed funitel system up and over the peak of Chopok that will open winter 2012/2013. See full details here.

O2 Snowboard Park
Jasna also offers an O2 sponsred Board Park. The O2 Snowboard Park is situated in ski centre Otupne. The park has its own ski lift which means when getting off the lift you are ready to hit the first obstacle. Jasnas Snowboard Park is the biggest in Slovakia. The design, maintenance and arrangement of the rails, boxes and kickers make this park the best in Slovakia. View photos of fun in the park
Value for Money
The great thing about Jasna is the excellent value for money it offers. With prices on the mountain being more than half the price of France and most of mainstream Europe you’ll have more spending money for the rest of the week.
